Children's Choir
We invite all children to sing in the St. John's Children's Choir, directed by choirmaster and organist Patrick O'Briant. Meeting each Wednesday until May 14, Patrick and volunteers Pawley Shields and Denise Varela prepare children for a few performances at Sunday services during the year.
Salon Series: Brass Quintet
The closing fanfare of the series, presented by the Fayetteville Symphony and St. John's, features the FSO brass quintent's "Brass Spectacular," Baroque music for two trumpets, strings, and harpsichord. Tickets at the door or fayettevillesymphony.org

Fourth Friday: Fayetteville Cantate
St. John's will open its doors for Fourth Friday, March 28, as host to a performance by the Fayetteville Cantate! Cantate's Fourth Friday concert will be a smorgasbord of styles. They will sing a little sacred music, a few standards, show tunes, and folk tunes. Plus, they will give you a preview of their "Celtic Cantate" Concert at 4 p.m. June 1 at St. John's. Don't miss it: there's something for everyone!
The cantate will have two performances on Fourth Friday at 6:20 and 7:20 p.m. with tours of our historic parish preceding each performance on the hour! It's the perfect opportunity to see and learn about one of Fayetteville's oldest churches!
Saints & Sinners: Cocktails & Symphony
The Saints & Sinners group invites you to meet up at Hilltop Restaurant at 5:45p for a drink and fellowship. Then embark on "World Travels" with the Fayetteville Symphony at 7:30p in Seabrook Auditorium on the campus of FSU!
Gershwin’s "An American in Paris" will inspire the sights and energy of this beautiful French city. Next, travel up to an island off the coast of Scotland as Mendelsson’s "Hebrides Overture" depicts a cavern known as Fingal’s Cave on Staffa, an island in the Hebrides archipelago. Dvorak’s "Symphony No. 9: From the New World” will finish out the evening, a piece Leonard Bernstein called truly multinational in its foundations.

Salon Series: Magnolia String Quartet
The third concert in the series, presented by the Fayetteville Symphony and St. John's, features the Magnolia String Quartet, performing a themed program, "A Postcard from America."
Christmas Chorale & Eucharist
While "the world in solemn stillness lay / To hear the angels sing," we gather to behold the glory of the Christ Child at one of our largest services of the year. Join us at 10 p.m. for a beautiful arrangement of choral and instrumental music, featuring the Chancel Choir and the English Handbells Choir. A grand Rite II Christmas Eucharist follows, replete with congregational hymns and carols and choral anthems. Nursery care provided.
Children's Christmas Pageant
We begin our Christmas celebration with a lively retelling of the Christmas story by the children. The pageant is folded into our Rite II Holy Eucharist, in lieu of a sermon, with congregational Christmas hymns and a special anthem performed by the children's choir. Nursery care provided.
Participating children will be fitted for costumes at 5 p.m. December 11. Rehearsals are at 9:15 a.m. December 15 and 22, and 5 p.m. December 18. If your child would like to participate in the pageant, there's still time to sign up on the list next to the Gift Shop.

The second concert in the series, presented by the Fayetteville Symphony and St. John's, features the FSO woodwind quintet.
Salon Series Premiere
We are happy to partner with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra to bring a series of special concerts, the Salon Series, to St. John’s. Don't miss the opening night on September 12: the evening’s program includes Schubert’s Symphony No. 9, “The Great”,Albinoni’s Adagio, Organ and Strings in G Minor, and Weber’s Bassoon Concerto in F Major featuring soloist Saxton Rose from UNC School of the Arts.
