FIlm Screening: Ladies in Lavender

Gather with the Father Alves and Ron Schooler to watch Ladies in Lavender, a classic British  film starring Maggie Smith and Judi Dench.

Dame Judi and Dame Maggie play two elderly sisters sharing a house near the craggy coast of Cornwall, in southwestern England...Then one day, like the male equivalent of a mermaid, a handsome young stranger washes up nearly lifeless on the beach. The sisters take the injured and exhausted young man and slowly nurse him back to health. But he doesn't speak English! Who is he? And how will he affect their lives?

-Ron Schooler, The Epistle, March 2016
