From Eve  to Mary, the mother of Jesus, we celebrate all our mothers. Blessed are they who have nurtured us from the womb! Celebrate your mother this Sunday, and pray for all mothers, here and abroad, in spirit and in flesh, that they might be emboldened in their love and faith.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who settest the solitary in families: We commend to thy continual care the homes in which thy people dwell... Fill them with faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness...
