The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) is holding their annual meeting at  St. John’s on Wednesday, April 27th. The Reverend Lauren Winner will attend as our special guest speaker, along with the Bishop Rob Skirving. They will conduct regular business and participate in a Rite II service, which will include an order for the induction of new officers. Holy Eucharist will be offered during the service.
    The history of ECW traces back to 1871, when General Convention allowed the organization of what was then titled Women’s Auxiliary to the Board of Missions. Three years later, the first meeting was held in New York. Episcopal Church Women as its currently known was officially formed in 1985, at the Triennial Meeting.
